The Foundation for New American Musicals (FNAM) is dedicated to educating, mentoring and showcasing the next generations of creators of musicals for stage, screen and new media.
Musicals translate experiences across time and space to create a new understanding and empathy across cultures, ethnicities and generations.
Through their four major programs, they support composers, lyricists and book writers of all backgrounds from high school to college to graduate school and beyond.
During its history, FNAM has presented 260 shows+ and 1700+ performances at 83+ venues from Santa Barbara to San Diego for audiences totaling over 1.75+ million people.

Nikki Crawford won the NAACP Theatre Award for Best Actress and LA Ovation nomination for Best Featured Actress for her portrayal as Young Lena Horne in Stormy Weather at the Pasadena Playhouse. Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer is an actress, singer, songwriter & producer, best known for playing the role of Kiki on the Emmy Award-winning series, The Fresh Beat Band, where she received two Imagen Award nominations for Best Actress in a Television Series. She played Cha Cha in FOX's Grease: Live, is Phyllis on Disneys Goldie & Bear and Kiki on Nick Jrs Band of Spies. Some of Yvettes other television credits include: Madam Secretary, Criminal Minds, Guiding Light and Boston Legal. Some of her stage credits include: West Side Story, Much Ado About Nothing, 3 Mo Divas, Broadways 1st National Tour of In the Heights & she won a Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Female Lead. She most recently played the role of Nikki in Sweet Charity, directed by Kathleen Marshall. Yvettes music can be heard on various TV shows & movies and some of her musical collaborations include: Ne-Yo, Jason Mraz, Wyclef Jean, Gloria Estefan, Justin Bieber & Engelbert Humperdinck.
Aleks is thrilled to be back in LA and is honored to be singing with these talented folks tonight. Broadway: Catch Me if You Can, Evita, Aladdin, The Most Happy Fella, and Something Rotten! He was last seen playing Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar at North Carolina Theater. Productions in LA include both original companies of Wicked and White Christmas at the Pantages Theater as well as the title character in The Who's Tommy at the Ricardo Montalban Theater. Member of The Company Men singing group. Ironman triathlete and proud UCLA graduate. A huge thank you to Michael, Christopher, Jen Lin, and Richard. Cheers to new and exciting pieces of theater!
